Introducing the 2N USB External RFID Card Reader with NFC, compatible with both 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies (Model 01400-001). This external RFID card reader connects to your PC via a USB interface, making it ideal for system administration and card enrollment utilizing either the web interface of the intercom or the 2N® Access Commander. The device can accurately read serial numbers from RFID cards and requires a USB drive for operation.
The ELATEC TWN4 RFID reader family offers versatile compatibility, capable of reading almost any 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz tags and labels. It supports key transponders from leading suppliers such as ATMEL, EM, ST, NXP, TI, HID, and LEGIC, in conjunction with ISO standards like ISO 14443A/B (T=CL), ISO 15693, and ISO 18092 / ECMA-340 (NFC).
This new generation of RFID readers from the TWN3 family features the same compact mechanical dimensions and supports USB host communication. Key features include a powerful SDK for writing custom apps directly on the reader, firmware updates in the field, on-board flash storage (18 kB), support for direct chip commands, two secure access module (SAM) sockets, and quick reconfiguration over the network or wireless interface using the TWN4 CONFIG Card.
Furthermore, the device can be upgraded with a TWN4 Upgrade Card for P and PI options upon request, and it is available in a desktop version.
