Introducing the AXIS T8129 PoE Extender – 5025-281, a solution to extend Ethernet Power over a distance greater than the standard 100m (328ft) limit. When needing to cover longer distances beyond this range, the typical solution involves using a switch as a repeater or opting for optical fiber connections.
However, with the AXIS T8129 PoE Extender, network installers can easily overcome this limitation by integrating this device inline with Cat-5e or Cat-6 cables. By doing so, they can extend the network connection to the camera up to an impressive distance range of 200-400 meters (656-1312ft), depending on the midspan and camera type used.
