    Description

    AXIS T8611 SFP Module LC.LX, Up to 6 Mile Range – 5801-801
The AXIS T8611 SFP Module LC.LX (5801-801) is a compact pluggable transceiver designed to provide fiber optic connectivity to network devices such as switches and routers. Built to industrial standards, this module offers a wide temperature range from -40?C to 65?C and features a loss of signal function that enhances network redundancy.
In compliance with the SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA), this module can be easily installed in compatible ports without disrupting the operation of host equipment. With long-wavelength FP laser diodes operating at 1,310 nm, data can be transmitted over distances of up to 10 km on single-mode 9/125 ?m optical fiber. The module is rigorously tested with Axis products like the AXIS T8516 PoE+ Network Switch.
The loss of signal (LOS) capability allows the system to detect a lost connection between specific hardware, such as AXIS Network Cameras, and the host. In the event of a disrupted or unusable connection, the AXIS T8611 can promptly alert the hardware for network traffic redirection, enabling seamless operation via a fallback connection like RJ45.
Fiber optic connections are ideal for applications like city surveillance, airports, and other long-distance installations where lightning strikes pose a threat or extensive connection distances are necessary.
    Key Features:
    – Up to 6 Mile Range
    – Single-mode fiber compatibility
    – Loss of signal feature
    – Industrial-grade with extended temperature range
    – Compliant with SFP MSA regulations
