As part of the Uniview IQ NVR series, this recorder is enhanced with an intelligent analyzer that provides advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Unlike standard Uniview NVRs, the NVR504-32B-P16-IQ processes intelligent events directly on the NVR side, allowing you to connect third-party ONVIF cameras while still benefiting from Uniview’s suite of deep learning AI algorithms. The intelligent analyzer offers three key functions:

1. Facial Recognition

Create a database of facial snapshots within the NVR and receive alerts whenever the system recognizes or fails to recognize someone from your list. This feature facilitates white-listing or black-listing access to your property or can simply be used to greet employees as they arrive. Notably, facial recognition can be enabled on all 32 channels when using native Uniview cameras, while you can connect up to four third-party cameras for this feature, as they require additional processing power.

2. Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) Events

The NVR supports a variety of traditional intelligent events, including line crossing, intrusion detection, area entrance, and area exit—now functioning on the NVR side instead of solely on the camera side. This dual capability offers two significant advantages:

• Connect third-party cameras (e.g., R-Series, Hikvision, or any ONVIF-compatible device) and still utilize Uniview’s intelligent events. This also includes Uniarch cameras, which do not feature built-in AI events.
• With native Uniview cameras, you can enhance functionality by enabling simultaneous events. For instance, you can activate both intrusion detection and people counting features together—something that wasn’t possible before. With the Uniview IQ NVR, you can enable SIP events on up to eight channels.
