As part of the Uniview IQ NVR series, this recorder features an intelligent analyzer that elevates its artificial intelligence capabilities. Unlike standard Uniview NVRs, this model processes intelligent events directly on the NVR, allowing you to connect third-party ONVIF cameras while still utilizing Uniview’s advanced deep learning AI algorithms. The intelligent analyzer includes three main functions:

1. Facial Recognition

• Maintain a library of facial snapshots on your NVR and receive alerts whenever the system recognizes or fails to recognize someone from your lists. This feature is perfect for whitelisting or blacklisting individuals on your property, or even welcoming employees as they enter.
• The NVR can support facial recognition on up to 8 channels but is limited to native Uniview cameras. You can connect up to two third-party cameras for facial recognition, as they require more processing power.

2. Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) Events

• This feature encompasses traditional intelligent events offered by Uniview cameras, such as line crossing, intrusion detection, area entrance, and area exit. The key difference is that this functionality now operates on the NVR side.
• You can connect third-party cameras (like R-Series or Hikvision) that support the ONVIF protocol and benefit from Uniview’s intelligent events seamlessly across all your devices. This also includes compatibility with Uniarch cameras, which lack AI events.
• Additionally, native Uniview cameras can enhance their functionality using SIP events. If you’ve ever wished to enable both intrusion detection and people counting simultaneously, the Uniview IQ NVR allows you to do just that, with intelligent events working on different levels— a true win-win scenario!
• SIP events can be activated on up to 4 channels of the NVR.
